Dr. Aquaviva (Prof. Dr. Aquaviva S. Fernandes) is a distinguished dental professional, educator, and researcher with more than three decades of experience in prosthodontics, implant dentistry, and restorative dental care. Known for his academic excellence, clinical expertise, and dedication to advancing dental science, Dr. Aquaviva has established himself as a trusted name in dentistry in India and abroad.

Graduating with a B.D.S. from Goa Dental College and Hospital in 1993, he was honored with the Best All-Round Graduate Trophy. He went on to secure the 14th rank in the All India Postgraduate Entrance Exam, a testament to his academic brilliance. His journey continued at the Government Dental College, Mumbai, where he completed his M.D.S. in Prosthodontics in 1997 and underwent specialized training in implant dentistry.

Academic Excellence

Dr. Aquaviva began his teaching career as a Lecturer at P.N.M.N. Dental College, Bagalkot, Karnataka (1997), before joining Goa Dental College and Hospital in 1998 as a Lecturer in Prosthodontics. Over the years, he has guided students in removable and fixed prosthodontics, implantology, and clinical research, while mentoring future dental professionals.

In 2003, he was promoted to Assistant Professor at Goa Dental College, also taking on the role of Coordinator in the Division of Oral Implantology. His commitment to dental education has made him a respected mentor, shaping the careers of countless students in prosthodontics.
